Genevieve Traynham Holthouser

Biography

Genevieve Traynham Holthouser died Sunday, February 8, 2010, at Presbyterian Hospital. She was born January 3, 1923 in Lauren, SC, daughter of the late John W. and Lydie K.Traynham.

She is survived by her son, Barry Holthouser, of Charlotte.

Genevieve was preceded in death by her dear husband of 56 years, Ernest R. Holthouser; brothers: Lawrence W. and Kelly E. Traynham; and sister: Tessie T. Smith.

Mrs. Holthouser was a member of Paw Creek Presbyterian Church and was also a homemaker.

Funeral service for Mrs. Holthouser will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday February 10, 2010, in the chapel at Hankins and Whittington, with the Reverend Gary L. Bryant officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn West Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Paw Creek Presbyterian Church, 7400 Mount Holly Rd., Charlotte, NC 28214.
