James Thomas Zrakas


Mr. Zrakas, 80, of Charlotte, NC died Sunday, February 7, 2010 in the Harris Hospice Unit of Presbyterian Hospital.

Mr. Zrakas was born July 11, 1929 in Wilson, NC son of the late Tom and Sophia Zrakas.
James graduated high school in Wilson and from Wake Forest University.

In addition to his parents Mr. Zrakas was preceded in death by his brother, Charlie and his wife Lula in 1990.

Survivors include his son, Jay Zrakas and his fiancée, Deanna Moore; brother, Harry Zrakas and wife Betty; sister-in-law Teddy Zrakas and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service for Mr. Zrakas will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. The Trisagion will be held one hour prior to the service at the cathedral. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
